XBIZ Amsterdam 2026 Is Almost Here — The Adult Stars, Creators and Trends I’m Watching

XBIZ Amsterdam 2026 adult stars creators and industry trends Mobzter

If there is one adult-industry event I would keep an eye on this week, it is XBIZ Amsterdam 2026. Not because I expect every conversation coming out of Amsterdam to become huge mainstream news, but because events like this usually show where the creator business is heading before those changes become obvious everywhere else.

And honestly, that is the part I find more interesting than simply looking at a list of famous names.

XBIZ Amsterdam arrives at Passenger Terminal Amsterdam this week, with the event series running September 10-13. X3 Europe runs alongside the conference, while the 2026 XMA Europe Awards close out the week on September 13.

So rather than treating this as just another awards weekend, I see it as a pretty good snapshot of where adult entertainment, independent creators, fan platforms and online business are moving in Europe right now.

Why I Think This Year's Amsterdam Event Is More Interesting

I feel like the adult business is in a strange but genuinely interesting phase right now.

A few years ago, most of the conversation seemed to revolve around studios, major websites and traditional performer careers. Today, an adult star can also be a creator, entrepreneur, social-media personality, producer and their own marketing department.

That change is clearly reflected in the way XBIZ Amsterdam is being organized. The private conference space is aimed more at business discussions, networking and industry professionals, while X3 brings a more fan-facing experience with creator appearances, exhibitor spaces, screenings and entertainment.

To me, that separation says a lot. Adult entertainment is no longer one single business model. There is the traditional production side, but there is also a huge independent creator economy growing around subscriptions, personal branding, fan communities and direct monetization.

What I'm watching

I want to see which personalities manage to turn an event appearance into something bigger: stronger personal brands, collaborations, new audiences or actual businesses.

Sara Jay Is Starting the Week in a Very Sara Jay Way

One name already attached to the opening festivities is Sara Jay. Sara Jay and Dan Leal are scheduled to co-host an XBIZ Amsterdam opening event on September 10 at Excalibur Café in Amsterdam's Red Light District.

I actually like this story because it feels less corporate than a typical conference opening. The event is encouraging attendees to promote themselves and connect with other people in the industry before the formal conference atmosphere really begins.

And that feels very appropriate for today's creator economy. If you are your own brand, networking isn't something that happens after the work. Networking is part of the work.

X3 Europe Might Be the Part Fans Notice Most

XBIZ Amsterdam itself is primarily an industry event, but X3 Europe is probably the part I expect more casual fans to notice.

This is the European debut of the X3 Expo format, and it is being presented as a creator-first event where fans can meet personalities, see brand activations and attend entertainment activities.

That might sound like a small distinction, but I think it matters. There is a big difference between an adult performer being promoted only through productions and a creator being promoted as a personality people actually want to meet and follow. The second model looks much closer to influencer culture, and I think we are going to see more of that.

MY TREND WATCHAdult stars are increasingly becoming entertainment personalities, not just performers.

The XMA Europe Awards Are Huge This Year

Then there are the awards. The 2026 XMA Europe Awards take place September 13, and XBIZ announced 980 nominees across 62 categories.

That is a lot. But what catches my attention isn't simply the size of the nomination list. It is how broad the categories have become, covering performers, creators, streaming personalities, productions and different parts of the digital adult economy.

Amirah Adara and Ella Hughes are scheduled to co-host the ceremony. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the biggest traffic coming out of the weekend is generated after the awards, especially around winners, red-carpet appearances and unexpected moments.

The Creator Economy Is the Story Behind the Stars

This is probably the biggest reason I wanted to write about XBIZ Amsterdam in the first place.

It is easy to focus on the adult stars because recognizable names naturally get clicks. But behind that is a much bigger business story. Creators now have to think about subscriptions, fan retention, payment systems, social traffic, collaborations, content ownership and platform risk.

That sounds surprisingly similar to what influencers, streamers and even small online businesses deal with. The content is obviously different, but the digital-business problems are increasingly familiar.

Personal BrandA performer's name can now be more valuable than a single production credit.
Fan CommunityDirect relationships with audiences have become a major business asset.
MonetizationCreators increasingly spread revenue across multiple platforms and products.

I'm Also Watching the Technology Side

Another reason this event caught my attention is the growing number of businesses built around creators rather than content production itself. Current Amsterdam coverage includes payment companies and creator tools, which tells me something important: the adult creator economy is becoming an ecosystem.

Where creators go, software companies, payment processors, agencies, marketing services and analytics tools usually follow. Because adult businesses often face stricter payment and platform rules than mainstream creators, some of the technology developed around this industry can be pretty interesting to watch.

Who I'm Keeping an Eye On

I'm not going to pretend I can predict who will own the conversation before the event even starts. That is usually the fun part of weeks like this.

Sometimes an established name dominates the headlines. Sometimes a newer creator suddenly gets attention after an appearance, award or viral moment. For now, Sara Jay is obviously one person worth watching around the opening. I'm also interested in the XMA Europe nominees, the X3 creator appearances and whichever personalities generate the most organic conversation from Amsterdam.

And yes, I will probably be watching the outfits too. This is Mobzter, after all.

What I Expect to Come Out of XBIZ Amsterdam 2026

If I had to make one prediction, I don't think the biggest story will be one movie or one performer. I think it will be the continued blurring of the line between adult star, influencer, independent creator and entrepreneur.

A performer can arrive as talent, promote their own brand, meet fans, negotiate collaborations, talk to technology companies and potentially leave with completely new business opportunities. That is a very different industry from the one that existed before creator platforms became mainstream.

So yes, I'll be watching the stars and the XMA results. But I'm just as interested in what happens around them. XBIZ Amsterdam begins this week, and I have a feeling there will be a few stories worth coming back to once everyone actually arrives in Amsterdam.
